Glass House Point
Glass House Point
The band was formed in September of 2013. Over the course of 2 years, Glass House Point has developed into a mature and experienced group featuring powerful vocals, crisp harmonies, and engaging instrumentation. The band has performed at countless venues and festivals, such as Lakeland's Green Celebration (2013-2014), MayFaire (2014-2015), Gram Parson's Derry Down (2014-2015), and The Polk Theatre (2015). Glass House Point just finished recording at its first commercial studio, Sound House Studios, with the seasoned and renowned audio engineer Jonathan Gautier. Their debut EP, Love Lives in Dark Places, is set to be released this December.

SunGhosts is set to release a second EP, Parhelion, Dec. 29, 2015. On the heels of signing their first recording deal, SunGhosts released a single in June 2015, “Polterguy,” a haunting yet uplifting, jump-around punk rock tune with an infectious hook of a chorus. According to Kurrent Music blog, “the delayed and synth-dressed guitars catch the listener’s attention from the start, and immediately set the tone for “Polterguy”, an endeavor with more teeth and bite than any of SunGhosts previous music.” The official video for “Polterguy” premiered on July 19, 2015.

Meanwhile, the band is working on its first full-length studio album after signing with start-up local Miami indie label, Orchard House Music. The album, currently being recorded by two-time Grammy-winning producer Joel Someillan, is a collection of the band’s most popular songs, already enjoying anthem-like sing-alongs from their fans who can’t get enough of the SunGhosts’ “aggressive positivity.”

With inspirations ranging from alternative rock, to surf rock, to late-Beatles-esque psychedelia, SunGhosts mixes up these diverse genres to create a unique style now redefining the sound of Miami. Their inspired songwriting, explosive, unpredictable live performances and all-around positive vibes provide an irresistibly charming invitation to new fans from all backgrounds and generations.

Named “Best Band in Miami” in 2015 by the readers of the New Times, SunGhosts was formed in 2013 between Nik Olas, Arminio Rivero, Jared Steingold and Luis Estopinan.
Media features on the band include The New Tropic, Balcony TV, Tropicult.com and “From the Garage” live radio program on WVUM “The Voice” 90.5 FM at which the host proclaimed the band set a new record for the most audience response the show has ever garnered. SunGhosts recently charted (Top 30) at 24 college stations nationwide (according to Crowd Control Music).

SunGhosts has enjoyed exponentially increasing popularity in their hometown. The band has played some of the city’s largest music events including Calle Ocho Festival, Wynwood Life Festival, and the Youth Fair Miami...not to mention practically every venue throughout South Florida, including Bardot, Revolution Live Fort Lauderdale, Churchill's Pub Miami, Titanic Brewery, Florida International University, Sunset Tavern, MIA Brewery, and Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood. The band was also invited to play the VIP showcase at the Driven Music Conference in Atlanta in 2014.

Setting their sights beyond South Florida, SunGhosts completed an ambitious tour in June 2015, playing shows in seven states between NoDa Summer MusicFest in North Carolina and Summerfest in Milwaukee. Their purpose: to spread the band’s unique brand of positivity and endearing, magnetic energy that flows from every performance directly to audiences everywhere. And of course, in keeping with the spirit of the band, making friends wherever they go.

Sun drenched vibes meet the dark and chaotic atmosphere of a dive bar. One might find their self confused by the sensation of one foot being immersed in wet-sand, while the other feels like their Vans are sticking to a whiskey-stained concrete floor.
